So then, MW2 PC...

SO what's it like on the PC then? I am assuming some of you have played it? I know Benneb has, everyone at work is telling me how amazing it is but there all console gamers so wont be affected by a lot of the issues the PC gamers are complaining about.
Also what's the odds of this being played at the lan? if its high ill buy it, Not going to say I wont buy it because of the issues then find out its going to be played and use a pikey version as that helps no one.
Cheers

Re: So then, MW2 PC...

Cheers, Basicly I think all I need to know about this game now is, will we play it a lot at the lan, if so ill buy it, if we will play more COD4 / L4D2 / Borderlands instead ill pass.
Only really ever played COD4 multiplayer and mostly at the lan so thats the main requirement for me.

Tbh a go review will be up when it's done, we've only recently been able to get a 360 version from activision which arrived through rashers flap yesterday?

Re: So then, MW2 PC...

Nope, when we get a game it tends to be 1 format only. And 9 times out of 10 we arent able to pick what format that will be.
Until we're at the levels of gamespot/ign, we simply cant get multiple format copies of new games and that is a lot of work to accomplish which will take years. So we have to wait for our reviewers to obtain the games themselves for multi format reviews.

Re: So then, MW2 PC...

To be honest, with the cut in PR funding over the last year, IGN and Gamespot would be very lucky if they got multiple format copies.

I can do one for PS3, but tbh unless they get their fingers out their ass and release another patch (which I hear is coming), it's not going to be nice.

I've only been able to play online about the last 20 mins. Party invites don't work either, but apparently that'll be sorted in a patch, due Friday. =/

I completed this on the PC today, took about 6hours give or take, fantastic SP as usual, plenty of action.

Re: So then, MW2 PC...

So I had a quick blast on the SP this evening (probs about an hour or so).
As DannyM commented, storyline is fantastic so far and it looks gorgeous. However, it seems a bit...busy and even playing on veteran does anyone else get the feeling that your chappy is somewhat invincible?
Haven't had a chance to nose at the multiplayer as yet, however having seen the enormous threads on IW's forums I'm not holding my breath.

Re: So then, MW2 PC...

Had a quick blast before work this morning on MP. Seems good, hitboxes aren't as bad as I'd heard.
Got shot by a Harrier, and bombed by a B2, but still came top on my first game Map was Estate, seems well laid out and destructible glass everywhere, which was nice.
Shall play more tonight

Re: So then, MW2 PC...

Much as it pains me to admit it, after finally getting it online - I enjoyed myself. I was playing a free for all on some Afghan map, got a 7 kill streak, got my newly unlocked controllable helicopter turret as a reward and proceeded to decimate anyone in it's way to go on and win the round - 30 kills / 6 deaths.

It made me smile; though I can't see it holding my attention for that long unless it's playing with mates, playing ti with analogue sticks seems like punishment sometimes.

Re: So then, MW2 PC...

I could swear I saw a LAN option on my game, and that was PS3 - if that has it, surely PC will have it too. Thing is, they may force you to play even LAN through IWnet, if the can do that?
