GameOn WAN #1
When : 29th November
Where : Your PC
What do I need? : A internet connection / beer
Basically this should be as close to a LAN as we can get without having to leave the house!
Ill update this post as and when but the idea is to loosly plan MP games during the day / evening such as TF2 / COD / BF4 ect and pretty much just enjoy a day of gaming, Its a bit like a theme night but on a larger scale.
There will be a open drop in channel on Teamspeak for comms / general chat and I also plan to have a IRC channel open for the day so we can have a large group chat, this should help keep everyone in touch with whats going off if there are multiple games running ect.
If we can get a load of screenshots and in game video footage that would be cool, ill try and get Fraps on the go ect for this.
Thoughts? I think it should be a great day, if not tell me to bugger off lol

Sounds epic! It would even be like the regular LANs, in that there'd be some people there from the start and several latecomers as the day goes on, I bet

Yea any suggestions welcome, I want to get a BF4 server sorted for this, any other server requests? TF2 / CS we can get whoever has the fastest connection to host I would think?

I have a server in france that i could use for the game server. only a dual core atom but should be enough for a few of us.

So I am going to order a BF4 server for this, I figure 32 slots should be enough even if we still have it for the LAN, anyone ordered one before, going to try and rent a server in the UK if I can.
Looks like public servers can be passworded which makes me wonder what the difference between public and private servers are? I assume private just don't show in the server browser?
Anyone fancy chipping in with this at all?
