Which will you buy?

So, now we have a lot more facts over the Xbox One and PS4. Which will you get and why?

Re: Which will you buy?

Personally, I'll stay with neither. The PS4 offers a cheaper bundle for people who like to lend games whilst the Xbox One offers exclusive games and TV shizzle. I still have a PC and still want to stay on that rather than transfer.

I want to play the new PvZ game but that will come to PC.

Re: Which will you buy?

From the little I have seen it appears that only a fool would buy a Xbox now, Only the exclusives can save it, i.e Halo and Forza.

PS4 has no crappy DRM, cheaper and much faster.

Gonna be a tough choice now for Dawson and TGK.

Personally I think for most people here the PC has already won.

Re: Which will you buy?

Neither to begin with. I've never been an "early adopter".

I like other people to iron out the launch bugs and pay the launch prices.

I'll certainly get a PS4 at some point, purely because of Gran Turismo, but it won't be until at least the first round of price reductions, and only then if it supports my Logitech wheel like the PS3 did.

I'll probably end up with a second hand xBox at some point as well but the exclusives hold no appeal for me and the fact that the 360 wouldn't use my wheel makes me assume that the new one won't either so I won't be playing whatever iteration of Forza comes out for it which reduces my desire for it significantly.

Re: Which will you buy?

for me microsoft lost their way when they started pushing all the other crap.

its a GAMES CONSOLE.

It would seem sony have remembered that, which is why im leaning towards a PlayStation.

Which is Ironic as I'm was xbox fan boy.

Re: Which will you buy?

I agree with all of the above! I'm a PC gamer no. 1 but for some sofa gaming I'm liking the sound of the PS4 the most as of right now. I much preferred the 360 over the PS3 but I don't much like the direction Microsoft is headed. I probably won't buy in until after the first price drop, though to see me through the winter months it is tempting.

Re: Which will you buy?

As of now, none.

Can't be doing with the Xbox's rubbish and I can't be doing with being charged to play online on yet another console, so until the initial frustration of that wears off, both companies can go sit on a stick.

Most likely I'll get one in the future. Which one it is depends entirely on games available when I decide to get one. All the fancy features in the world mean nothing to me. I buy a console to play games, so if one has better games, I'll get it.

Bit of a no brainer really, if I were to get either it would be the PS4.

Based off of right now? PS4, without a doubt.

We'll see what happens though. MS have some major damage control to do.

This, they still have time, though I am not sure if they will change anything, there a bit derp with things atm, though Windows 8 may have taught them enough to fix things up.

Still the PS4 is more powerful and seems very games focused so im thinking the PS4 is still the winner regardless.

Re: Which will you buy?

So for me, the answer at present is "both".

I've just finished watching the Sony announcement, and I can't help but applaud the cracking job they did on stage. Seriously, well played. And that's from a current Xbox 'fanboy'!

In an interview after that though, Tretton did go on to say that third party publishers may still impose their own DRM - so I'm not expecting it to be an easy-ride on either side.

And Xbox One. Well, there's One reason for me, and that's Forza 5. I'd also love to see if we get another Horizon style affair, but set somewhere else than Colorado.

There's still a good few months from release, so it will be interesting to see what happens between now and then!

Re: Which will you buy?

There was an interview with Don Mattrick (Xbox reveal guy) on GameTrailers and I wish so hard that I could find a link for it.

Looking pallid and tired, he stood there and said the words "we have a device for people who don't have a constant connection. It's called the 360." He literally discouraged people from buying the console.

He went on to say "the average internet connection is on almost all of the time. People like to imagine it isn't." That's great, go tell people without the internet that the average connection works just fine.

It was unbelievable. I was expecting damage control!

I interpreted that as being like Battlefield 3 where you get a code to install the multiplayer that's only good once. Something which led to me instantly disliking the game, incidentally, when my brother-in-law installed it, brought it round for me to try, and discovered I couldn't actually play the bloody thing.

Like I just mentioned on Twitter, it'd be nice for them to take people with data limits into consideration, too. If I were to buy an Xbox One on my current connection? Start of the month no big deal. My nets never off and it's a decent(ish...) speed. Nearing the end of the month when I've downloaded all manner of rubbish, and get charged when I go over my limit what do I do, just not switch the Xbox on in case it takes me over my limit?

Re: Which will you buy?

He gave you the answer. Get a 360 instead. That's the only console you peasants are allowed.

This should be a sarcastic reply but it isn't and that is tragic.

Re: Which will you buy?

TBH - I was more impressed by The Crew than Gran Turismo...

Dunno, guess I've kinda been spoiled by the open world aspect of Horizon for what I've really been looking for in a racing game. The Crew looks to me, like what FUEL wanted to be in terms of an open world romper.

Need to have a look at the crew, saw it in passing when browsing a site, in fact I need to catch up with all the E3 stuff at some point.

/hopes that the kind GG people will do a overview post after E3 with all the links to the articles in it so I an easily see whats been reported.
