Whatever Happened To Retro Game Stores?

Just been looking around on the net and just around in general. Been looking at buying some older consoles such as the Megadrive, Snes and the Atari.

But no where actually sells anything like that anymore!

I mean gamestation used to have some games and consoles at there disposal, game is just useless, gamestop i think have stopped doing it as well and my only option seems to be cash converters which tbh is a hit or miss situation depending when you go in there.

I cant seem to find anywhere that sells them anymore.
Ive looked on the net and all i can seem to find is Ebay.

Anyone know of any places that sell these consoles and games, becase i really would like to get my hands on them again.

Market stalls, although they can be pricy.

I prefer market stalls to eBay. By the time you've paid the exorbitant and over-inflated postage charges on eBay, you're probably better off at the market and at least you have somewhere to go back to and they can't avoid your e-mails face-to-face.

I know what your saying but I when I was after a ps1 I did a 10 mile radius search on ebay and I found one with 2 pads and about 10 games and so I messaged him and asked if I won could I collect which he was happy with.

So I ended up winning it for about £1.50 I think it was and when I got there he told me it was chipped as well which was a bonus to play my imported games.

Cant argue at that and it beats as you say paying postage fees.

Car boot sales are a good place to look for older consoles, and in junk shops, my local one has a few snes's and a saturn in
