Re: What is your preferred Gaming Laptop?

Is there any particular reason for it being a laptop, the reason I ask is because gaming rigs tent to be better a PC in a case, rather than Laptop.

You can upgrade a Desktop PC but not a laptop (plus you will spend a lot more money on getting the same thing in a laptop)

What sort of gaming was you planning on doing on it as well?

Re: What is your preferred Gaming Laptop?

I agree with Rasher on this one, for what you will pay for a "Gaming" Laptop you could take that money and build a MONSTER desktop PC.

I know, it will be a pain to lug to LANs etc, but think of the prettyness of a 24" screen over a mediocre 17" Gaming Laptop panel.

Re: What is your preferred Gaming Laptop?

Hi guys thank you for your suggestions but I do like laptops. I'm looking into Alieware laptops and seems like the specs are good but practically speaking it is more expensive to buy a gaming laptop rather than a pc. If you could suggest a gaming laptop that is less expensive I would be more than happy

Re: What is your preferred Gaming Laptop?

Alienware is the WORST decision you could make for a gaming Laptop.

Since they were bought out by Dell they have seriously gone down in build quality and prices have gone up.

I have not seen an Alienware laptop win any awards in a long time.

I would look at these as alternatives, that way you;re not paying a premium for that AW Branding...

MSI GX70, Razer Blade, and the Gigabyte P35W v2-CF2

Re: What is your preferred Gaming Laptop?

Generic laptop, with a kick ass machine in the back ground, then use things like steams in home streaming?

seriously i can play GTA4 Maxxed out on a centrino 1.2ghz with 2gb ram. crazy shit.

that way you get the best of both worlds.

only downside however is some games just wont stream, no matter how much i try. (Battlefield4, and i think this is cos of that battle log shit)
