Welcome Back Pack Problems

With the PlayStation store back up and running, I was eagerly anticipating to download my two free games; inFamous and Dead Nation.

Unfortunately, my inFamous won't install. It's downloaded but when I go to install it, it gets to 14% then comes up with "Corrupted Data" and a number: 80029564.

If anyone could help me, let me know.

Re: Welcome Back Pack Problems

Your best bet is to delete infamous and redownload. I had a game install corrupt itself once and simply redownloading fixed it.

Re: Welcome Back Pack Problems

Another potential cause is memory in your PS3 is faulty. Probably best to contact Sony customer support in that case.

Did you delete the corrupt data first? Or just re-download?

Other fixes:

Try from a different account on the PS3 if possible

or from a thread on AVForums:

I then read a bizarre suggestion - run the install, create the corrupted data, delete the install file (NOT the corrupted data) and redownload and install it with the corrupted data from the first install still in place. Amazingly, this works! This is the easiest solution, though again not ideal as you have to download everything twice. Still, you get to keep your game saves!
