New Mouse

I'm thinking of getting a new mouse. I've currently got the Razer Imperator and it's decent. It works and has an okay grip. Thing is that recently, I've found that the right side of my palm is hurting if I use it for like, two hours or more at any one time.

I also use it in a "claw grip" which can get uncomfortable.

Was just wondering what everybody else uses and suggests. I've got slightly bigger hands than usual to which is a factor in my decision.

I'm sort of swaying towards this: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/logit...mb-panel-laser

Or this if I wait a bit longer: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/therm...on-8200dpi-usb

Really don't like the look of the Hex.

I've seen some people with the Rat at LAN but never used it. Anybody used one?

Re: New Mouse

Will keep an eye on this thread, i'm looking for a new mouse, I bought a cyborg earlier this year, bad mistake, I hate it, bad software support, mouse didn't feel right, for me anyway.
So gone back to logitech G5.
I quite like the look of the Naga...hmmm, anyone got one, is it better for the slightly larger hand?

Re: New Mouse

You really dont need to spend much on a mouse anymore, the top end mice are stupidly priced and the engines are no better. Its gotten to a point that the tracking and resolution is so high that there is absolutely no way the human hand can control the difference.

Personally ill never use anything other than Steel Series, they've consistently put out the best engine for as long as ive been gaming. The only other mice id consider are QPad, but they are pushing the max limits on price for whats sensible to spend in a mouse imo.

For claw grip use, look at the Kana or Sensei RAW.

What differs from the Steel Series engine and the Razer engine? I've always used Razers so am unaware.

All mice use a degree of software compensation, and each engine handles it differently and with different curves for different situations and speeds of movement. Steelseries have always been at the front in terms of that tech, and have the most natural curves possible, so your hand movements are translated more quickly and efficiently and in a much more raw format.

The top esports teams in the world have never deferred from using Steelseries products since the starting days of major esport competition, that says a lot also...

Re: New Mouse

Fair enough. Maybe I'll have to take a look into Steel Series then.

Re: New Mouse

I picked up this keyboard, absolutely love it, so much you can do with the macros, but would probably be a bit nicer if it was mechanical http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/254163...ngDetails.html

You know, I ought to start looking at the original post date before clicking on links. No wonder most of them were 404ing.

Re: New Mouse

I have a boomslang 2000 on the laptop (thew original Karcher ball mouse oldschool asskicker ), and a Naga on the desktop which I adore.

The mrs has the Naga Elite (can switch from wired to wireless, and the lights can be colour cycled) the only problem we have encountered with any of them so far is the elite has a tendency to power itself off when/if the Razer mouse drivers crash.

The level 10 is a really nice mouse too, I almost got one instead of the naga.

And necromancy is a game that's fun for all the family. we all know this
