ViperGTSR is an unknown quantity at this point
I think Linux just kicks ass (even the free OS). I have used Silicon Graphics and they are sweet computers but very complicated if you dont know commands. All I realy know is that Windows should be deleted from history because It is only good for the computer illiterate and make Linux or even Macs the top OS.

XP aint *that* bad, i tried linux briefly, didnt really get on with it or see any obvious advantages over windows for my uses, so left it on a seperate partition for a while, then deleted it. Nothing against it tho. I dont like Macs tho.

Its aimed at corporates more than end user - so unless you fit this you wont understand what your they are selling.
I do agree though - wouldnt use Windows for routing tbh i wouldnt use Linux either CISCO baby

I'm still learning linux myself, and obviously it is quite complex. That's the main reason I can see why Windows is so popular, because most corporate IT users are not technical and as such tend to be familiar with the Windows OS.

In most cases - businesses who could save some money from switching to linux can will possibly have these savings negated by the costs of retraining and supporting both the OS and the users.

But your absolutely right - Windows has it's place ... and it's not in Routers

The most ironic instance of linux over windows was the Dell Windows recovery CD which actually boots into a linux os to restore the windows installation ...
