I could've swore I read this wasn't coming 'till near the end of the year.

I wonder if it'll be 5 new maps or another couple of rehashes.

I'd love to see some more Special Ops maps. I found that type of co-op stupendously brilliant fun.

So, assuming the last pack had 3 new and 2 old also, that's ten maps, 2400 points and four of them are old. LOL

LOL! nearly spat my tea over my monitor there!

That is an awful lot though for some new maps, still people will still buy them enforcing the fact that developers can charge what they like and they fanbois will still purchase it.

Re: Modern Warfare 2 'Resurgence Pack' Announced

As much as WE know that the pricing is outrageous, there are still people who'll buy it purely because it's MW2. For example they've actually proven that they could have charged DOUBLE for the first map pack and even with the people who would have been turned off by the price they'd have still made the same profit.

There's also very little work involved in certain maps and their creation, mainly because of repeated model usage, so there's no real concern for lack of profit on the companies behalf. Ultimately this sort of this is quickly lost from the memories of players. Not to mention when a far cheaper piece of DLC is for sale for their products they will receive a positive spin, despite still overcharging to an almost criminal level.
