****ing Human Rights intervention again.

Human rights should be as follows:

1) Right to Life
2) Right to a private life
3) Commit a crime, kiss goodbye to your private life

---------

Personally.. When someone gets locked up/banged away/jailed/taken out of civilization, their human rights go with it. Their liberties as a free person have been taken.

If they work for their money.. i.e. educating themselves whilst inside, making things (woodwork etc), then fine. I have no qualms with them receiving a wage. But the fact they are gonna get paid for going cold turkey, really pisses me off.

It's their own ****ing fault for getting into drugs in the first place. I have never touched a drug in my life (other than those I've handled via police), and I never intend to.
As long as someone has the willpower to say no, then they will survive.
If someone falls into the trap of drugs, they only have themselves to blame, and shouldn't be rewarded for going cold turkey.

My thoughts!

was just about to post this aswell. i couldn't believe what i was hearing on the radio, even worse is the home office settled out of court!! they lost their human rights when they took them away from their victims.

this country is f**ked, seriously f*cked!

I'm baffled they settled out of court, surely a judge would have laughed this out of court.

Judge: "What??? you want compensation because the prison didn't supply you with an illegal substance?? get the f**k back to jail for even attempting this and that goes for your brief too, he can be your new room mate"

i dont think I can add much more sentiment.

I'll read this comment on the bbc.

"The inmates have taken over the asylum, head for the exits."

unfortunately for us, those exits are liverpoo, manchester, heathrow, gatwick, dover, portsmouth, luton, glasgow, and anywhere else with a transcontinental linkage.

Prison sounds like a holdiay camp these days.

Im sure some people who have nothing or nowhere to go just commit crimes so they can get in there.

as much as i agree with the wtf statements thus far i have to disagree that for some people its not a choice of do i take drugs or dont i, look at that dumb bitch who got her son hooked on heroin when he was young, what choice did he have ? its not as easy as saying oo look a junky its their own fault, maybe most of the times it is but not always.

until you know how they got hooked on the stuff u cant really say its their own fault,

my gf is currently working at a drug rehibilitation centre and a lot of the times its not there fault there hooked on stuff, its abusive parnters/parents/gangs/having to live on the streets etc

hands up those who know drug addicts ?

until youve actually spoken to some and had there take on things you cant really say its all there own doing.

i do agree with the tuff **** aproach that if u do commit a crime you loose all the benefits you would have, even if you are a junky it doesnt mean u have to go round killing/raping people, if they decide to take that approach and are caught and locked up then they deserve everything they get, that i do agree with.

As far as i know my cousin is still doing the drugs, and i must admit i know he's got more of a viable excuse.

Still maybe he belongs in rehab!

Beat me to the post on this one Colio
I heard this on the news yesterday but i got very mixed feelings on it.

I was trying to look at the "other side of the coin" on this one

Drugs normally relate to crime
so i can see their thinking in "lets get them off the drugs to lower crime when they come out" maybe?

I mean if you was already on drugs and put in prison and you could get drugs easily, why would u want to come off them? Then when they get out if they are on drugs (or even started in prison) maybe that would lead to more crime.

I think the other questions are (which i couldn’t find an answer to at the time)
How much do they get?
Would they loose the right to the money if they are caught taking drugs?
Will they do random drugs tests on them?
Do they have to be in prison for "set time" before going on this program?
Would they get the money if they started taking drugs in prison (and didn’t take them before)

I mean if they can combat drug taking in prison this would maybe cut down on the amount of drugs being brought in to UK prisons?

The other question is could the money they are spending on this really go towards stopping drugs getting in to our prisons in the 1st place?
I mean if they could then surly that would solve even more problems?
But i suppose it depends on how far 18mil would go towards stopping the drugs getting in.

Like I say very mixed feelings on this one, but just not enough information yet.

it's a ****ing mockery that's what it is.

I work my arse off to the bone and just about scrimp by on what pittance I recieve and can't afford such luxuries as Sky TV, Sky sports and the films etc yet if I repeatedly offended I'll be in Forrest Bank by the end of the month with the cosiest pad ever even with games consoles, TV and suchforth.

Human rights ??? What ****ing human rights. These people do not behave well enough to be classed as humans therefore the rules do not apply to them.
