StarCraft II Demo Upgraded to StarCraft II Starter Edition

Blizzard have announced that they have changed the way that the demo feature works for their hit strategy game, StarCraft II: Wings Of Liberty
Instead of just downloading the demo and only being able to do a certain few levels to try the game, the demo, now known as the starter edition gives you a lot more freedom.

Not quite, shareware games still existed till the mid-late 90's so some people like myself have played shareware games when they first came out (rather than years later when shareware effectively died). Though being only 7 or 8 at the time never paid for the full version.
