well to be honest m8 the company you use can all be deepndant to your details and what car you have,

What age are you
How long have you had a full licence?
What car (or type of car) is it

you will find that insurance quotes vary HUGELY from one company to another, and i have onserved its not dependant on size or location of company.. it seems like a bit of a lottery tbh

the last time i phoned around for quotes (fully comp, 7 years full no claims protected, any car, etc) , they ranged from 73 quid to over 600 (lol) , and believe it or not the cheapest quote was from the AA (always considered the most expensive around before that)

my advise is to put aside a few hours one day, get the yello0w pages, and phone EVERY SINGLE freephone number (in the car insurance categery for all u smart asses ) and pick the best quote, i know theres hundreds, but as i said, u will find a massive variation.

also , i imagine u are going fully comp, and if not, then i seriosuly reccomend u do, for the extra benifits, its defintly worth the extra money, even if its 20/30% more then 3rd party, fire, theft.

all IMHO of course.

the AA are, as fish said, supprisingly cheap and very good

Just a few to try after being recomended to me.

Cant remember if they do cars, but Carole Nash is amazing.

I'm 18, have a 400CC Bike, and fully comp, it only costs me 700.
Considering I've only just passed my full test too..

Only downside is, you have to do it in 4 payments.

Adrian Flux insurance are pretty good, got me some decent qoutes back when I had normal cars

nowadays tho : (26yo , 6 years ncb, no accidents, claims etc for both of us, protected no claims, plus breakdown coverage)

Toyota Mr2 t-bar turbo (my car) : 990

Subaru WRX (import 4WD turbo, modified - missus' car) : 1100

Always try and find a specialist that will look after you for your circumstances - i.e. find a "younger" driver insurer, import insurer, or female insurer. I haven't found any decent insurers online for my cars, although I hear elephant.co.uk are pretty good.
